No. Not “Janine”. I appreciate the pun attempt (ja-nin, get it?), but that name is almost as horrid as Bonnie’s when compared to the original. The theme is “ninja”. Koga sounds Japanese. Janine does not. And Anzu is a perfectly good name to just keep without changing. It’s similarly short, similarly Japanese-sounding and there’s no doubt on how to pronounce it regardless. Sorry to all the English purists – I’m going with Anzu.
More importantly, she’s a cutie. Doki doki indeed. And yes, since they met by setting off a Stunky, it shall be called shitshi- I mean stinkshipping. Let’s see if it goes anywhere – God knows Doug could use some female company, even his Pokémon team is all male.
