Bonus: In 3D!
That’s right folks! I did some magic and managed to transfer Doug’s Pokemon from my save file to my 3DS. Doug’s team is now resting comfortably in my PokéBank account, both the survivors and the late ones. I never thought this day would come, I am so happy right now…
In the process, as you can see, I learned my mons’ IVs and boy, those surprised me. Vang’s especially, how did he kick so much ass with so little?! Makes him even more awesome, I guess.
If you don’t know what IVs are, a quick explanation. Individual Values are what determines a certain Pokemon’s stats alongside the specie’s Base Stats and natures and Effort Values. They range from 0 to 31 (the higher the better) and are normally hidden from the players. Each stat’s IV is randomly generated upon the Pokemon’s capture and can’t be changed. It’s Game Freak’s way of making every mon different and unique.
