Cover IV

The theme of this cover is “simple”. Not “lazy”, mind you – it’s “simple”. There’s just too much happening in this chapter, I couldn’t hope to fit half of it anyway. So have more Rattata, you didn’t see that in Yonkoma Nuzlocke before, right?
Upon Doug finally finding the resolve to pursue the Champion’s title, our heroes leave Pewter City and move on through the caves of Mt. Moon. Little do they know that a certain criminal organization has their own interest in the place – and they don’t like nosy intruders at all. What’s more, Lott, Vang’s bitter rival, is there and he has no intention of being the second best no more!

Dayum, took 104 pages to get to Mt. Moon…
Mind you, I’m not complaining. Everything was fleshed out well thanks to the length.
Well, 80 actual pages… But we still have Route 3, so there will be a couple more actually XD
But yeah, you took those words out of my mind. I’m hopelessly slow – you have no idea how relieved I am to read a comment about stuff being fleshed out. This was my intention exactly, but I’ve been afraid people would care more about the speed.
It should get faster from now on though. I couldn’t continue the story without Doug growing a bit, that’s all.
I will admit to being a bit impatient at the start, but I think that’s mostly due to being used to Nuzlockes having the first gym over in 50 pages or under. As this is, however, I’m getting to know the characters better, and with Team Rocket coming up, I’m sure I’ll get a good grasp of the plot with your storytelling.
A chapter end by the 11th huh? That might be difficult, but a challenge just makes things a little more fun right?
I agree with Kurona though, you’ve really done a great job at bringing these characters to life. I read A lot of Nuzlockes and chances are I tend to forget a lot of the characters from long wait time, but yours is one of the few that I always remember everyone perfectly.

Oh. My. Goodness.
That is exactly what I’ve wished to hear ever since I started the comic!
Forgetting characters in between updates can kill Nuzlockes, since it makes you oblivious to the deaths and such. The original plan was for me to update regularly enough to keep readers from forgetting (one of the reasons I made it a yonkoma, short format), but this is way better, thanks!
